Who may qualify for a case review?
The firm looks at a short list of criteria before deciding whether it can help.
Calls are answered by an automated intake assistant and may be recorded with your consent.
What are the main criteria for a case review?
The firm generally considers requests that meet these points:
- You have a VA decision (regional office or Board).
- The decision is still within the relevant filing window (usually 1 year for continuous pursuit or 120 days after a Board denial).
- You are not already represented by an attorney for this claim.
- Your discharge is other than dishonorable, or a character-of-discharge review is pending.
- You live in a state the firm serves (see the states page).
Compensation requires a current disability, an in-service event, and a nexus, plus a discharge other than dishonorable (38 U.S.C. §§ 1110, 1131).
What if I do not have a decision yet?
If you have not received a VA decision, the firm cannot review a denial that does not exist. Contact a Veterans Service Organization or the VA to file an initial claim. Free help is available from accredited VSOs.
What if I am already represented by an attorney?
The firm generally declines cases where an attorney is already appointed. You may change representation, but that is a separate step handled directly with the VA and the current representative.
Does my state matter?
Yes. Certain states are not served. In those states the request is refused and nothing is stored or forwarded. Check the states we serve page before submitting.
